Chocolate Ball DE

The Chocolate Ball Delaware is a formal event for low-income families. This event was created to promote positive family dynamics, increase representation of diversity in formal spaces, enhance interpersonal skills in participating youth, and support & encourage organizational community partnerships.

Too often, we enter spaces and fail to see representation of POC (people of color) in the sea of faces. We have been conditioned to believe that certain spaces are only for individuals of certain classes. Unfortunately, in many cases, race plays a factor in the exclusion. These unwritten rules of division have caused POC to avoid a variety of environments, places, and things that are believed not to be for them.

Therefore, the Chocolate Ball was conceived…
